I offer talks and interactive workshops for organizations and event planners seeking thoughtful, practical learning about self-awareness, relationships and meaningful participation in everyday life. Sessions are offered primarily online, with selected in-person engagements.
My work draws on more than 30 years in education as a teacher and principal, and on The Damselfly Path, the personal-growth curriculum I created. Together, we identify a focus that fits your audience and the learning you want to make possible.
Areas we can explore
Understanding emotions and needs
Recognize what we are experiencing, identify needs that deserve attention and explore workable responses within our circumstances.
Compassion in everyday relationships
Practise perspective-taking, attentive listening and compassionate limits, with attention to how we respond to ourselves and others.
Making room for what matters
Clarify what brings meaning, connection and pleasure to our lives, and identify a practical step toward giving it more room.
Talks and interactive workshops
Talks introduce ideas through clear explanations, examples and questions that invite reflection. Workshops give participants time to explore and practise through guided inquiry, personal writing and conversation. The focus and format are discussed in relation to your group, your event and the time available.
An educational approach
I begin with the capacities participants will be invited to develop, then select activities that help them learn, practise and apply those capacities. The aim is to connect useful ideas with the situations and relationships people encounter in their own lives.
